As a senior pathology analist you are responsible for independently and accurately conducting all required examinations as part of the necropsy phase of reproduction and toxicology in vivo studies. Duties include scheduled/unscheduled anesthesia and euthanasia of animals, macroscopic examination of animals, collecting tissue samples, laparohysterectomies, uterine examinations, fetal external and visceral examinations, collection of organ weights, organ accountability, bone marrow smears, blood collection and spermatogenesis endpoints. Additional duties may include maintaining and reviewing study book records, entering data online including reviewing raw data printouts, verification of historical control data, preparation of laboratory solutions, archiving fetal and tissue specimens and other duties as assigned. Your profile: A relevant education, BSc. level, with a focus on animal anatomy; A license to work with animals on a biotechnical level is a preferred; >5 Years work experience in CRO environment and/or the chemical/pharmaceutical industry; Proper knowledge of and/or experience with GLP and working with Standard Operating Procedures; A good command of the English language, Dutch language is preferred ; Good communicative presentation and social skills; A pro-active, enthusiastic and flexible attitude; An enterprising and results-oriented attitude.
