We reach millions of end-users and are mission critical for many of our high-profile customers. Connectis develops software for online identification, authentication and authorization. An exciting field, which often hits the news headlines. Our products are the key to ‘SaaS’ and ‘cloud’ applications. This market is developing rapidly and Connectis is growing with it. Connectis is located within walking distance of Rotterdam Central Station. As a software developer you design and build the Connectis™ platform for federated identity management. Your work will reach millions of end-users and is mission critical for many of our high-profile customers. You will work within an agile team, with a positive ‘can do’ mentality. You must become an expert on secure programing. We also expect you to specialize in one or more other areas of expertise. You will educate your colleagues and consult our customers. We have various exciting projects and always strive to push the envelope with our work. Product development: - Create highly secure solutions within our area of expertise. - Develop and maintain reusable software components. - Code review on security vulnerabilities and “Clean Code”. Knowledge development: - Become an expert on one or more standards for identity management, such as SAML, XACML, OAuth, OpenID, WS-Trust and SCIM. - Attend, prepare and present monthly knowledge sessions with your colleagues. - Support and educate junior software developers and help them to improve their skills. Minimum requirements: - At least 3 years of experience as a full-time software developer. - University-level thinking and work experience. - Expertise in Java is preferred. Desired experience - Extensive knowledge of the Linux platform. - Experience with at least two of the following fields: > Test Driven Development and Agile/Scrum development. > Web-based applications, including XML/SOAP en REST. > Standards in the field of (federative) identity management such as SAML, XACML, OAuth, OpenID , WS-Trust, Kerberos, Information Cards, X509 certificates or LDAP. > Design and management of SQL databases. - Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred - Passion for software development. - Enjoy sharing knowledge with (junior) software developers. - Good communication skills. - An education or dissertation in exact sciences such as information technology, mathematics, physics, econometrics, engineering or similar. - Internationally recognized certificate in the field of software development, system administration and/or information security.
