USG ENGINEERING in cooperation with PHILIPS is searching for you! The Team: You will be a software developer in a project team. You are expected to actively contribute to all aspects of agile software development: planning, tracking, architecture, development, configuration management, testing, integration, verification. As a software developer you will also have the opportunity to have customer contacts, collaborate with other experienced colleagues and participate in diverse, technology-driven projects in a highly flexible, agile and innovative environment. Responsibilities: ¿Responsible for the design, realization and test of connected embedded systems or subsystems; ¿Develops the work with focus on consumer needs and technological competitiveness, and keeps this outside-in approach in mind for designs he/she creates; ¿Develops on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications and tests, analyses and verifies their performance; ¿Finalizes the design specifications, schematics, drawings, codes and writes test scenarios for the developed modules or components; ¿Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way and is responsible for keeping the costs of the activities in line with the calculated budget; ¿Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project leader; ¿Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed hardware/software/mechanics; ¿Combines existing and/or purchased modules into components, which can be integrated into the subsystem; Technical requirements: ¿Operating Systems; ¿Interrupt handling; ¿Peripheral Interfaces, Sensors; ¿Start-up time; ¿Memory Management, System size; ¿Power Management; ¿Security; ¿System Resource Management; ¿Real-time constraints; ¿FW upgrade, Device Management; ¿Reliability & Robustness; ¿Agile, Scrum, XP, TDD; ¿Test Automation; ¿C/C++; Soft skills: ¿Excellent communication skills (fluent in English, preferably also in Dutch); ¿A team player, eager to invest in personal and team growth, curious ¿Strong analytical, conceptual and creative thinking skills.
