Ultimaker is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a solid technical background in product development. You will lead a team of Engineers, to guide the project through different phases such as development, engineering, industrialization and after launch care. What will you be doing? Your primary responsibilities include: Taking ownership over achieving a successful product profile Working with internal and external stakeholders to determine project scope Estimating risks Create a plan and schedule Keeping stakeholders informed through clear reporting Taking corrective action when project deviates from scope, schedule or budget You will report to the R&D Manager. What will your team look like? Your team will consist of Engineers coming from all disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software and processing). Projects will range from 4-20 Engineers. What will your day in the office look like? The morning starts with a meeting with managers from Product Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, and Sales and Marketing. Your project is discussed, amongst other products that will be launched this year. After the meeting, you walk over the project floor to see what is going on. You have a discussion with the Lead Mechanical Engineer about priorities. Together with the Manager of Material Research and Processing, you discuss the urgency of the vacancy you have for a Process Engineer. During the afternoon, you work on the planning for a new product development project. Before the day is finished, you prepare a meeting that you will have tomorrow with your project team.
