Job abstractJV_description The Research Investigator conducts research and process development in the field of developing flavor ingredients among others via food processing, with the help of enzymes, biosynthesis with the following tasks: Set up and develop synthesis routes for new flavor ingredients Develop production processes for the newly discovered ingredients Document experiments along with reports Become an internal expert on flavor creaction via food processing / enzyme reactions Keep track with new developments in food related flavor chemistry Job requirement We are looking for a Research Investigator (MSc) who is up to a next step in his/her career and, who likes to explore the development of food based flavor ingredients. Discovery, process development and production of the new ingredients are key elements in our business success. Therefore, you will be working in an environment where objectives and deadlines are set. Solutions are not always straightforward therefore out of the box thinking is essential. Creativity, persistency, accuracy and a broad interest for techniques beyond traditional organic chemistry and food processing. It is necessary that you have lab experience with food processing, biosynthesis and organic synthesis preferable in flavor / food industry and have affinity with analytical chemistry of volatile and non-volatile components. As a Research Investigator, you will be in contact with colleagues around the world in R&D, Creation & Application and Production. In this international setting it is necessary that next to Dutch your English is fluent in both oral and written form.
