An international higt-tech company, specialized in vertical farming, is looking for a Project Managment Officer (Mechanical Engineer or equivalent background) with a drive for innovation and for agriculture-technology. It’s a high investment start-up, with a clear strategy and mission and it will open its first commercial vertical farm in mid-2018 in the Netherlands.

They offer you a challenging and autonomous position as a Project Management Officer (PMO) Innovation & automation. The job is open to Dutch and EU-talent that is willing to live in The Netherlands, Westland area (The Hague).

Your job as a technical Project Management Officer (PMO)

You will coõrdinate and execute projects related to innovation & automation. Examples include (but not limited to) automation of the harvesting, packaging and soil treatment machines. Through a clear project-based approach, you make sure the automation solution is developed using a clear timing and planning (within budget). This includes the different development phases. You visit potential suppliers in Europe to understand the process and the needs. You make proposals for solutions. You guide the manufacturing process in the different development phases. You test the solution and the new equipment with the suppliers.
