Job abstractJV_description Nurse Anaesthetist/ Anaesthesiology Assistant (enfermeiro/enfermeira especialista médico-cirurgico) THE NETHERLANDS For several hospitals in The Netherlands we're looking for either part-time or full-time qualified nurses (f/m) Introduction function profile Nurse Anaesthetist As a nurse anaesthetist, you work closely with and under the supervision of the anaesthesiologist. You carry out tasks independently when anesthetizing a patient and accompany the patient before, during and after the operation. The Nurse Anaesthetist function in brief As an anaesthesia assistant, you work in an operation team in which everyone has their own tasks. Under the final responsibility of the anaesthesiologist, you carry out tasks independently during the anaesthesia of a patient. This way you check all the equipment before the operation, put it ready in the operating room and help to bring the patient under anaesthesia or local anaesthesia. The work of a Nurse Anaesthetist Before, during and after the operation you guide the patient, explain the procedures and actions and reassure the patient. You constantly monitor the vital functions of the patient and if necessary take corrective action and inform the anaesthesiologist of this. Outside the operating room you can work at outpatient clinics where minor interventions take place, for pain relief after an operation or during chronic pain treatment. You are also part of trauma teams. The requirements and competences Because an operation can sometimes take a long time, and you have to stay focused all the time, endurance is very important. Operations can be risky, you have to deal with that. There is a great responsibility on the shoulders of the nurse anaesthetist. Expectations You will hold a relevant qualification with at least 1 year of experience in a relevant environment. You will be comfortable working in a complex, technical environment and be unflappable in stressful situations. You will be versatile and able to think and act on your feet. Finally, you will be a good fit with some required core values: warm, restorative, cooperative. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious medical professional with an innovative mind-set, excellent social skills and a patient-focused attitude. Being able to speak English is a must. Professional Experience 1-3 years of recent full-time experience in a mid- to large sized acute-care hospital Working in The Netherlands as a nurse anaesthetist: Our country is a member of the EU and therefore EU regulations are leading. It is necessary to prove that your diploma is equal with the diploma ‘anesthesie medewerker’ in the Netherlands. To equalize your diploma a copy of the following documents are required: 1. the diploma nurse anaesthetist including results of the examination 2. employer's certificate and testimonials What we're offering For several hospitals we're looking for either part-time or full-time workers. Payscales will depend on the role, your age and experience, with all terms of employment in line with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) for hospitals.
