• Develops a general portfolio of ARM based boards driving a range of display and touch combinations with the necessary Linux driver support in close co-operation with a range of mainly China based component suppliers • Supports customers who are designing systems based on the developed ARM/Display/Touch portfolio • Evaluates and solves any issues with customer systems both at design stage and RMA in close co-operation with China based component suppliers • Develops specific ARM/Display/Touch solutions by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials • Assures product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with regulations • Maintains and develops relationships with new and current China based ARM board, Display and Touchscreen suppliers • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Internal Application Engineer Skills and Qualifications: Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Electronic Testing Design, Experience with Linux on ARM, Experience with Embedded Systems, Displays and Touchscreen applications, Project Management, Quality Focus, Customer Focus, Attention to Detail, Emphasizing Excellence, Innovation Other requirements for this position • At least three years of relevant experience in developing Linux/ ARM based systems including touch screen, display and power supply • Extensive communication experience with companies in China • Prepared to move to a location within daily travel distance from Haaksbergen, The Netherlands • Fluent in the (technical) Mandarin language • Fluent in the English language
