For the Digital department, Lukkien is looking for a hands-on and versatile Front-end: FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER with extensive knowledge and a critical eye. Job description As a Front-End Developer you are part of the entire development process of websites (HTML 5), with specific focus on the technical developing of the front-end containing HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Throughout the whole development process, you will work closely with designers and back-end developers to make sure all different facets are represented in the final product. You will also have an advisory role towards the customer and work on concepts with design to hand the customer a solid perception of the final product. Projects will range from visual websites to corporate website and will be largely controllable through Django or sitecore CMS. Websites will be made available through different channels (pc, mobile, tablet, etc.) and attract a large amount of visitors. Experience with or knowledge of Responsive web design is therefore preferred. Your technical approach is creative and precise and makes sure the structures are clear. You are a real team player, well able to share your knowledge and always strive to create clean code. Furthermore you think in possibility’ s and not in problems, we are a creative company after all. What you need for this position • Demonstrable experience with developing websites and web applications on a large scale. • Experience in the field of diverse web templating technologies • Extensive knowledge on HTML (5), CSS (3) and JavaScript • Experienced with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) • Familiar with jQuery, Backbone JS, Node.js or similar techniques • Familiar with graceful degradation • Affinity with performance cases • Quality oriented and a high sense of responsibility • Strong communicator • Preferred languages English and Dutch • Capable of learning and apply the newest techniques • Communication with several stakeholders within companies • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methods is preferred You are the ideal candidate if you also have experience with continuous integration, unit testing or even TDD.
