Financial Accountant

to join our team in GrootBijgaarden, Belgium.

 

Your responsibility is to manage the relevant accounting processes for multiple legal entities. You will ensure compliance with internal and external reporting needs, in accordance with Group business control framework, global processes and requirements. You will also be accountable for applying the group standards in consideration of local/statutory reporting requirements. In addition, you will lead 2-3 direct reports, being at various locations in Belgium and the Netherlands. 
Job abstractJV_description: Main responsibilities   ¿    Managing statutory accounting process, in line with local requirements ¿    Handling local tax affairs, in compliance with internal group reporting standards  ¿    Compliance within external /internal reporting standard (IFRS, local gap, Financial Accounting Manual), government reporting standards and statistical return ¿    People management responsibility: setting IOs, leading the team in terms of functional competencies and performance, liaising with stakeholders in and out of Financial Organisation  ¿    Provide Audit support for the local market for local, statutory and internal audits in coordination with FD ¿    Participating in cross functional projects ¿    Streamlining and harmonizing the HUB/local processes ¿    Building an efficient and professional cluster HUB/local process team  ,
Required profile: Professional & Personal Requirements - An ideal candidate has:    ¿    University Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent in Accounting ¿    Min. 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role (Financial administration)  ¿    Full understanding of local GAAP and IFRS ¿    Strong administrative and planning skills as well as the ability to prioritize. ¿    Outstanding analytical and communication skills supported by good organizational and planning skills. ¿    Ability to work under pressure in a short period of time. ¿    People management experience is appreciated but candidates with coaching affinity is also welcoming to apply.  ¿    English language skills with full fluency is a must.  ¿    Dutch and French language skills are language skills are highly desired ¿    Good computer skills; experience in SAP R3, MS Word, Excel and graphical software is preferred.
