For the Digital department, Lukkien is looking for a hands-on and versatile: DJANGO / PYTHON DEVELOPER With extensive knowledge and a critical eye. Job description As a Django/Python Developer you are part of the entire development process of websites, with specific focus on developing the back-end and CMS. Throughout the whole development process you will work closely together with designers, testers and front-end developers, to make sure all different facets are represented in the final product. Projects will range from visual websites to corporate website and will be largely controllable through CMS. Websites will be made available through different channels (pc, mobile, tablet, etc.) and attract a large amount of visitors. Your technical approach is creative and precise and makes sure the structures are clear. You are a real team player, well able to share your knowledge and always strive to create clean code. Furthermore, you will use your expertise and enthusiasm to take the products, made by Lukkien, to the next level. What you need for this position • Demonstrable experience with developing websites and web applications on a large scale. • Extensive knowledge of Python and Django • Familiar with mySQL, PostgreSQL, memcached, nginx and uWSGi • Quality oriented and a high sense of responsibility • Strong communicator • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methods is preferred • You are the ideal candidate if you also have experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript), continuous integration, pair programming, unit testing or even TDD.
